Modelling attracts people who take advantage of new faces. Twenty years in this industry is long enough to have seen every version of it. These are the rules we hold companies to, and the things we want every model on the register to know.

Nobody should ever ask you for money

CatwalkLK is free for models. No registration fee, no portfolio fee, no “test shoot” fee, no fee to be shortlisted. If anyone contacts you asking for payment in our name, or in the name of a company they found you through, they are running a scam. Report it to us.

What a legitimate casting looks like

It happens at a studio, an office or a booked location, in working hours. You can bring someone with you. There is a private area to change. Someone tells you the fee, the hours and the usage before you agree, and puts it in writing.

A casting in a hotel room or a private home is not a casting. Neither is one that will only happen late at night, or one where you are told not to bring anyone.

Nudity and revealing work

You are never obliged to shoot anything you did not agree to in advance. If a brief changes on the day — different wardrobe, more revealing, different usage — you can say no and leave, and you should still be paid for the day you turned up for. We will act on any company that pushes past this.

Models under 18

An under-18 profile needs a named parent or legal guardian, with consent, before it goes live. All contact from companies goes to the guardian. Measurements and contact details are hidden from the public profile. A guardian must be present at every casting and every shoot. Companies that try to work around this lose their account.

Before you accept a job

Get the fee, the shoot dates, the hours, the location and the usage in writing. Usage matters: a day licensed for social media only is a different job from the same day licensed worldwide for two years, and you can price it differently. Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back.

Report something

If a company on this site behaves badly, tell us. We would rather lose a client than keep a bad one on the register. Email us and we will look into it, and we will not pass your name to the company without asking you first.
